“The Lord is calling us to enkindle stars in the night of other young people.”

Mr. Rey David T. Enriquez

Editor-in-Chief

We are now entering an unprecedented era where everything seems new – new traditions, new norms, new perspectives, new opportunities, new rules, new habits, and new ways of acquiring information. Thus, people nowadays are experiencing paradigm shifts from the modern way of thinking into a post-modern mentality.

This kind of mentality is very relevant among the youth nowadays due to the diversity of information that can be found on the internet. These diversity makes them think that the truth is subjective and relative to the one who perceives it. In other words, there are no longer objective truth.

On the contrary, I believe that there is a subjectivity that is not detrimental on our knowledge of the objective fundamental truth but can be instrumental to find it.

This kind of subjectivity may lead to an intellectual discourse that can help students philosophize and think deeply and critically to discover the answer to their unending questions and discover the ultimate truth – God. This also serves as a window for them to see the other perspectives and widen their horizon in life.

As a fruit of their search for answers and meaning, we made this website to share the knowledge they learned and the wisdom they acquired in the process of discovering the objective and fundamental Truth.

Thus, this website, as a product of the collaboration of various students, teachers, and other contributors, is meant to help students most especially philosophy and law students on their academic endeavors by providing various materials related to philosophy and law.

As Pope Francis states “the best way to prepare a bright future is to experience the present as best we can, with commitment and generosity.” (Pope Francis, Christus Vivit, 178.)

I believe that every student has the best on themselves which some of them find it difficult to discover. Thus, one of the fundamental tasks of a teacher is to serve as a compass for the students to be their guide on their journey towards success and help them in making their best manifest. Each student is in the process of becoming from potency to actuality. Thus, I believe, their BEST IS YET TO BE.
